My aunt had a Mini which burned to the ground. I love Minis, but high price coupled with british car reliability and german car parts cost just doesn't work out. And if I'm shelling out that much cost and maintenance, I want something truly worth the trouble(rwd, big straight six, hoffmeister kink).

Are they all 2007 - 2011 models? My brother who is a Mini tech in Indy was telling us about some of the issues with those years' engines, specifically timing chain stuff. Yuck.
